Box fit · what ships in what

The Canada Post flat-rate box is the shipping constraint

Every cell in the catalogue is sized to fit a 1646 envelope, but the kit-level economics depend on which CP flat-rate box the bundle fits in. The four CP sizes map naturally onto four canonical kit sizes.

Pricing caveat CP flat-rate pricing has been climbing. Sources show 2024 rates at $17.99/$22.99/$29.99 small/medium/large, with 2026 references suggesting $19-33. The studio should verify current rates before publishing customer pricing and refresh quarterly. The catalogue uses 2026 conservative estimates.

The kit logic

How MEAL kits get assembled

MEAL kits aren't just bundles. They're composed across four temporal patterns — BDRC is immediate (cook tonight), COOK is active (cook this weekend), GROW is sustained (harvest over weeks), SPORE is delayed (harvest in 2-4 weeks). A monthly MEAL kit gives the customer all four patterns at once.

BDRC anchors every kit. It's the deepest live catalogue (16 cells) and the easiest to cook (rice cooker only). COOK adds active complexity. GROW and SPORE rotate seasonally — herbs in spring/summer, mushrooms in fall/winter. The studio's curation work is matching cells to themes across the 12-month rotation so customers never see the same cell twice in a year.
